About Outside The Box

Outside The Box provides development support to groups and people across Scotland who want to make a difference in their communities.

Outside The Box’s vision is a society where communities are welcoming and inclusive, and where people can contribute to making their communities work well for them and for everyone.

Outside The Box cares about the wellbeing of their employees and actively promotes team members, in any role, to shape their organisational practice because they believe this is key to empowering people as leaders at all levels – including the communities they work with.

Partnership objectives

1 – Upskill & develop their leaders for future roles identified through succession planning

2 – Enable their leaders to build an inclusive environment to increase innovation, discretionary effort and decision making

The solution

We developed a solution for Outside The Box called Future Leaders Program, which serves their 2 main objectives:

  • Leading Self:
    Developing confidence & leadership aspirations amongst leaders
  • Leading Others:
    Creating a culture of inclusion

Future Leaders Program spans 12-months consisting of 4 x 120-minute modules to allow them to scale these best practices, each with supporting material to:

  • Develop:
    Self-leadership and leadership skills
  • Equip:
    Through toolkits following the training to reinforce key concepts & continued learning
  • Engage:
    Embed accountability groups facilitated by Outside The Box
  • The company: Outside The Box
  • Service: Consulting & Bespoke Training
Working with Dream Collective has given our team a space and the tools to reflect on their individual skills as leaders as well as identifying our shared values of leadership - for planning and embedding new workplace initiatives that support this.
